The recovery of removed folders in a Lotus Notes mail file is a complex process. In general the proces is as follows:
- Perform mail file restore
- Copy the design of the folder to the restore database of the users mail file
- Manually add e-mail documents to the folders
Lialis shortens and simplifies this complex process with the Lialis Folder Restore Tool. This application registers each mail folder on the Lotus Domino server and remembers the location of each document in the folders (based by the Document ID)
When a folder is removed, this change is being identified by the Lialis Folder Restore Tool. IT support can restore the folder by just pushing a button in the Lialis Folder Restore Tool application. The folder is restored completely immediately. Documents, which were available in de folders, are restored to the correct location automatically.
